Òptica Florit

To talk about Òptica Florit is to talk about more than a century of history. Founded in 1915 by Manel Florit when he opened the first shop on Carrer Petritxol, he started a legacy that to this day continues within the family. Five generations have now been, and still are, part of Florit.

Manel himself moved the shop to Carrer Diputació no. 262, becoming a pioneer by setting up the first optician in the neighbourhood at a time when the profession was still emerging, and without doubt the optician that has been there the longest. As time went by and the business grew, it reached the five shops we have today: four in our city, Barcelona (Diputació no. 262, Aribau no. 254 and Manso no. 17), and another one in Cerdanyola (Avda. Catalunya no. 58).

Always at the cutting edge of innovation and eye health services: we have one of the best ocularists in the city, we work with colour blindness and low vision alongside expert specialists thanks to the time we have devoted to it.

What's more, we feel we owe something back to the city that has watched us grow, so we are launching our new Florit Eyewear collections, inspired by the ever-exhilarating city of Barcelona.

After a hundred years of looking after our clients, we are as eager to serve them as we were on day one, evolving alongside the technical and scientific advances, and offering the same quality as always.
