To speak of Òptica Florit is to speak of more than a century of history. Founded in 1915 by Manel Florit when he opened the first shop on Carrer Petritxol, it marked the start of a legacy that continues today within the family. Five generations have now been part of Florit.

Manel himself moved the shop to Carrer Diputació 262, becoming a pioneer by establishing the first optician in the neighbourhood at a time when the profession was still emerging — and without a doubt the longest-standing optician on that street. As time went on and the business grew, we reached the five shops we have today: four in our home city of Barcelona (Diputació 262, Mandi 1, Aribau 254 and Manso 17), and another in Cerdanyola (Avda. Catalunya 58).

Always at the forefront of innovation and visual-health services, we have one of the city's leading ocular prosthetists, and we work on colour blindness and low vision with specialists who have spent years developing real expertise.

We also feel we owe something to the city that watched us grow, which is why we launched our new Florit Eyewear collections, inspired by the always-vibrant city of Barcelona.

After a hundred years of looking after our customers, we continue with the same enthusiasm as on day one, evolving alongside technical and scientific progress, and offering the same quality as ever.
